Mary Ellen Randall is an IEEE Fellow and member of the IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu honor society.

She held technical and management positions in IBM, including an international assignment, hardware and software development, digital video chips, client/server services, network management, operating systems, and test design automation. She routinely managed projects on an international scale.

She served on the IEEE Board of Directors as IEEE Treasurer, IEEE Vice President of MGA, and Region 3 Director, and served as IEEE WIE Committee Chair among other leadership positions.

She created and developed the IEEE MOVE International Community Outreach Program for Disaster Relief and STEM education. She received awards for this work, including the IEEE Haraden Pratt Award.

Ms. Randall is founder/CEO of Ascot Technologies, Inc., an award-winning software company which develops enterprise applications utilizing mobile delivery technologies.  As a result, she was named a top “Woman In Business” in the Research Triangle North Carolina area and made Business Leader Magazine’s “Impact 100” List.

She holds a M.S. Computer Science and a B.A. Mathematics from Binghamton University.

Dr. Winnie Ye is a Fellow of Optica and the Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC) and a Full Professor in the Department of Electronics at Carleton University. An expert in silicon photonics, she was a Canada Research Chair (Tier II) from 2009 to 2021. She earned her B.Eng. from Carleton University, followed by an M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto and Carleton University, respectively, and was an NSERC postdoctoral fellow at MIT and Harvard.

Dr. Ye has received numerous prestigious awards, including Optica’s 2025 Robert E. Hopkins Leadership Award, the 2021 IEEE MGA Leadership Award, and the 2020 Partners In Research National Technology and Engineering Ambassador Award. She has also been recognized for excellence in teaching and mentoring.

Beyond academia, Dr. Ye has held leadership roles in the field, including Chair of Optica’s Photonics and Opto-Electronics Technical Division (2021-2023). She currently serves as the IEEE Women in Engineering Chair (2025-2026) and an elected member of the IEEE Photonics Society Board of Governors.

Prof. Mike Hinchey is Professor of Software Engineering at University of Limerick, Ireland, where he was previously Head of Department of Computer Science and Information Systems and Director of Lero, the Research Ireland Centre for Software, a national research centre headquartered at University of Limerick.

He chaired the IEEE Conduct Review Committee 2023-2024 and is Past Chair of the IEEE Global Policy Caucus.

He is 2025-2026 Director of IEEE Region 8 (Europe, Middle East, Africa). He was Chair of IEEE UK and Ireland Section (2018-2019) and has been Vice-Chair of the Computer Society’s Technical Activities Board and a co-founder and Chair of two IEEE-CS TCs, and a number of successful conference series. For 10 years, he was a column editor on Software Technology for Computer magazine and published a successful IEEE Press/Wiley book from the column.  He re-joined the Computer editorial board in 2019.

He is Past President of IFIP, the International Federation for Information Processing (www.ifip.org), serving from 2016 to 2022.

Prior to joining University of Limerick, Professor Hinchey was the Director of the NASA Software Engineering Laboratory. In 2009, he was awarded NASA’s Kerley Award as Innovator of the Year and is one of only 36 people recognized in the NASA Inventors Hall of Fame.

Professor Hinchey holds a B.Sc. in Computer Systems from University of Limerick, an M.Sc. in Computation (Mathematics) from University of Oxford and a PhD in Computer Science from University of Cambridge. Professor Hinchey is a Chartered Engineer, Chartered Engineering Professional, Chartered Mathematician and Chartered Information Technology Professional, as well as a Fellow of the IET, British Computer Society, Engineers Ireland, and Irish Computer Society, of which he is also Past President.

He is Editor-in-Chief of Innovations in Systems and Software Engineering: a NASA Journal and Journal of the Brazilian Computer Society.

In 2018, he became an Honorary Fellow of the Computer Society of India and was the SEARCC Global ICT Professional of the Year 2018.  He received the first ever service award of the Brazilian Computer Society in 2023, and the IEEE Computer Society Golden Core in 2024.

Dr. Antoni Grzanka is the Chair of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS) Poland Chapter, former professor at Warsaw University of Technology, and currently a lecturer at two leading medical universities in Warsaw. His academic work spans evidence-based medicine, biostatistics, data science, and the implementation of digital technologies in healthcare.

With a strong interdisciplinary background, Dr. Antoni Grzanka is dedicated to educating future professionals on the responsible and inclusive use of artificial intelligence in medicine. His lectures and projects often explore the intersection of generative AI, healthcare applications, and ethical innovation, with a focus on bias mitigation, gender representation, and real-world impact. He is an active advocate for integrating advanced AI tools into medical education and public health systems.

Wafa Ben Hmida is a highly experienced software engineer with over a decade of expertise in software engineering and quality assurance, particularly within the automotive and e-commerce industries. She currently works as a Software Engineer at Ocado, a leader in e-commerce and logistics in the UK, where she leverages her skills to develop innovative solutions. Prior to her role at Ocado, Wafa contributed to the automotive sector at BMW, where she focused on quality assurance and software engineering projects.

She is passionate about empowering women in technology and inspiring the next generation of girls to pursue STEM fields. Her commitment to diversity and inclusion is evident in her leadership roles, including serving as the Chair of Women in Engineering (WIE) for the EMEA region at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 2023-2024, a global organization with over 450,000 members. Wafa also represents young professionals as a Young Professional Representative for IEEE WIE Global and is an active member of Women in Tech Global.

In addition to her leadership roles, Wafa is a sought-after speaker, having shared her insights at numerous events organized by IEEE. She is dedicated to advancing women’s representation in the tech industry and continues to work towards creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for women in STEM.

Emna Amri is a university lecturer in computer science in France and holds a PhD in the field. Her work bridges academia and industry, with a focus on applying AI and deep learning to real-world challenges. She has worked on projects such as offshore oil slick detection using multimodal data fusion, and AI driven waste classification.

She has contributed to numerous publications across journals, books, and conferences. Passionate about knowledge-sharing, she teaches computer science and mentors international students.

Emna is also an active IEEE volunteer. She currently serves as Chair of IEEE Region 8 Women in Engineering, Young Professionals Chair of the IEEE France Section, and is an active member of the IEEE Computer Society.

Feriel SAIED is a Software Engineer and Business Intelligence Consultant at Sword Technologies. With a focus on data analysis and decision support systems, Feriel is passionate about using technology to help organizations solve complex challenges and improve their processes.

Feriel completed her engineering studies in 2022, specializing in Information Systems Engineering and Decision Support at the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis. She earned her Bachelor's degree in 2019 from the same institution, where she developed a deep interest in technology and its potential to drive positive change. She is also a proud graduate of the IEEE VOLT Program, Class of 2021.

Her journey with IEEE began in 2017, and since then, she has taken on numerous leadership roles to give back to the community. As the Tunisian SYP Ambassador in 2018, Feriel helped share valuable information and opportunities with her peers. In 2019, she founded and chaired the IEEE Computer Society FST Student Branch Chapter, building a collaborative environment for students.

From 2020 to 2022, Feriel served as the Social Media Manager for IEEE WIE Tunisia AG and as Project and Contests Coordinator for IEEE SAC Tunisia. She also held the role of Secretary for both the IEEE Computer Society Tunisia Chapter and IEEE Young Professionals Tunisia AG from 2021 to 2023. In 2023, she served as Vice Chair of the IEEE Computer Society Tunisia Chapter, contributing to its strategic growth and impactful initiatives.

Currently, Feriel is actively engaged in the IEEE Benelux Section. She serves as the Vice Chair of the IEEE Benelux Young Professionals Affinity Group and is a Corresponding Member within the IEEE Region 8 Young Professionals Committee. Through these roles, she continues to learn, collaborate, and contribute to the advancement of young professionals in the region.

Feriel’s professional journey is guided by her belief in the power of collaboration, continuous learning, and community engagement. She is deeply committed to mentoring and supporting others in realizing their potential and strives to create inclusive spaces where young professionals can grow and thrive in the ever-evolving tech landscape.
